Welcome to Manzanar, BLDG 3.

This is a continuation of the series I took of the Manzanar Japanese-American Internment Camp where thousands of JA's were forcibly imprisoned during the war, by their own country.

Please read the other posts in this series (Manzanar Concentration Camp, Shikataganai, and Welcome to Nowhere) if you have a moment to spare, I think it will give more meaning to the photos if you have an idea of the history behind it...

Be always like the Moon, that besides be solitary, she never stops shining...

Brilliant, this is surely a favourite. A beautiful picture on the face, and with history.

inspired by you, activate by me.
Horrible things often happen in the most beautiful places. The clouds seem to tell the history of this place.

What is art? Well that is kind of like asking what is love, it can only truely be defined by example.
wow, lighting and contrast crazy good

fantastic saturation... beautiful

what did you use to get your colors so intense it's exactly what I've been aiming for but I can never manage anything on the magnitude that you do.

great job

Once again, an amazing work. You've really captured some heavy emotion in this. The contrast of the clouds above capture all the negativity about the place, while I feel that the light shining through gives hope amidst the sorrow and pain the darkness gives... I don't know if that's what you were going for, but it feels like it is painfully honest. That's what I've gotten from your whole series. I love your art.
