Today I took a day-trip to the Mission District in San Francisco with my friend and fellow DAer Kasi ([link]). The goal of the day was to shamelessly turn peoples' most candid, private moments into a definitive statement about the depth of my humanity (isn't that what all Deviant artists do?).
I wanted to share with you guys the proofs of the day's work. I have deleted many of the obvious failures, but most of the images are still there. For me, it has always helped me more to see the original photos in their entirety than the cropped and edited final product. Hopefully seeing the originals of the shoot will be useful to somebody out there
As an artist, I want to put my best foot forward and only share my very best work. But as someone who is forever a student and always seeking improvement, I hope that by showing my "dirty laundry" I can elucidate the overall workflow and methodology that ultimately produces the final product.
